In honor of the great Chinese and Taoist poet Han Shan, 9th Century

Cold Mountain was the home of a Chinese Buddhist poet and recluse, Han-shan, renown for the some 300 poems he wrote between the late 8th and early 9th century. Arthur Waley says of his poems; "Cold Mountain is often the name of a state of mind rather than a locality " and that the mysticism of the poems is based on "the conception that the Buddha is to be sought not somewhere outside of us, but 'at home' in the heart."

Cold Mountain is full of weird sights; People who try to climb it always get scared. When the moon shines, the water glints and sparkles; When the wind blows, the grasses rustle and sigh.
