Heart Sutra Arises Out of Chaos
One day, I created this painting in a state of heightened emotion. Later, I had the urge to dance with the chaos and open a portal. I brushed the Heart Sutra in ancient seal script on top of it and created a third thing—a space between. The old Chinese sage Tung-h-shan put it this way, "The very problems and barriers we face are the doorway to realization of the nature of the universe and the nature of the self."
